Summer To Dos
The busyness of the spring seems to winding down! I’m trying to take advantage of a calmer pace of life by spending more time doing things I love or have wanted to do for a while.
In celebration of the official first day of summer, here’s a few items on my summer to do list:
1. Get up earlier.
2. Plant an herb garden.
3. Read more. A Million Miles in a Thousand Years and Cutting for Stone are next on my list.
4. Swim laps once a week.
5. Walk to farmer’s market in Piedmont Park. Buy seasonal produce and cook more.
6. Play more tennis.
7. Cheer on the Braves.
These are just a few things that have been on my mind. What’s on your summer to do list?

I received my first issue of Atlanta Magazine in the mail today - very excited about the theme! With it being 80 degrees and sunny today, I am definitely ready for some good patio time. See one of my favorite someecards for details (in moderation, of course).
Thanks to Michelle for sharing the news about Piedmont Park’s 35-acre expansion. I could not be more excited about this! I love the park and being so close to it has been one of my favorite things about living in Midtown. Walking and running paths, Park Tavern’s skyline views, fields for soccer and bocce ball, the Green Market on Saturday mornings, festivals, concerts…what more could we want? We haven’t had much use for the dog park yet, but hopefully we can enjoy that one day.
It has been so great to see Atlantans come out of the winter hibernation and enjoy the park again. Jonathan’s pick-up soccer team held a “kick-off to daylight savings time” game there on Sunday - so thankful for longer days!
LOVE.
